The data

How we measure

Full tank to full tank

A rider fills up, rides, and fills up again. The distance covered divided by the fuel added is the real economy for that stretch. It's the oldest, most honest way to measure fuel economy — no sensors to trust, no lab.

We exclude what would lie

Partial fills and skipped fills break the maths, so they're excluded, not patched. Implausible readings are flagged. A number only counts when it's a clean full-to-full segment.

Range, never a bare average

Every model page shows the spread — where most riders land — and the sample size behind it. One average hides the truth; a distribution with a rider count shows it.

Claimed vs real

The brochure/ARAI figure is the manufacturer's certified claim, measured on a test cycle. The real-world figure is what riders actually get. The gap between them is the whole point.

We never fabricate

If a bike has no real data yet, its page says so and invites the first rider — it never shows a made-up number to look fuller. Thin data is labelled thin. That honesty is the entire value.
